| Valencia, January 11, 2011 - Team Luna Rossa began today in Valencia, the preparation for the Championship "Extreme Sailing Series", reserved for Extreme 40 catamaran class', which is scheduled to start in Muscat (Oman) Feb. 20. The "Extreme Sailing Series takes place from February to December, on an international calendar of 9 races and is one of the most challenging and spectacular circuits professional sailing worldwide. The crew consists of 4 people and the boats - catamarans 40 '(12 m) ultralight - are capable of developing speeds of over 25 knots, resulting in the fleet racing, spectacular duels, which often are resolved with a few meters from the finish line. Skipper "Luna Rossa" will Max Sirena, while the pilot will be Paul Campbell-James, defending champion of Extreme Sailing Series. Completing the crew Alister Richardson (tactical), Manuel Modena and Giulio Giovanella. The Coordination Team is entrusted to Antonio Marrai - Team Manager - the coach Ben Durham and will be responsible for ground operations will be John Tognozzi.
